As is always the case with Fridays, CBS was ok in the total viewer department but skewed very old. At 8pm, A Gifted Man was down 1.3 million viewers and two tenths in the demo from its premiere last week. While the demo is the same as Medium this week last year, the total viewer count is better and might bide it some time. At 9pm, CSI: NY was down six tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo from last week. It appears to be skewing older this season which isn't good news. At 10pm, Blue Bloods was down eight tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo. While also skewing old, its total viewer count remains very good for Friday.
FOX started things off with Kitchen Nightmares which was up a tenth in viewers and the demo, skewing young for a Friday show. There was trouble at 9pm though where Fringe was down four tenths in viewers and three tenths in the demo, tying a series low in the demo. FOX doesn't have as high expectations on Fridays but a 1.2 demo is pretty bad. Will this finally be Fringe's final season? ABC and NBC were populated with repeats and newsmagazines. ABC's 20/20 which was up seven tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo from last week while Dateline NBC was down nine tenths in viewers and four tenths in the demo.
