CBS was on top during a quiet Friday. At 8pm, week three of A Gifted Man was down seven tenths in viewers and even in the demo at a low 1.2. I still think CBS will be patient with this show even though they have a potential filler in Undercover Boss. At 9pm, CSI: NY was down two tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo. At 10pm, Blue Bloods was the star of the night as it was even in viewers and up a tenth in the demo. This show has really emerged the star of CBS on Fridays over CSI: NY. A 1.9 demo for a Friday 10pm show is really quite good.

FOX took a hit with a drop of two tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo for Kitchen Nightmares but at 9pm, Fringe went up a tenth both in viewers and the demo from last week's series lows. Is FOX content with these numbers for Friday night or will they change course either later this season or next season? ABC and NBC once again filled their night with repeats and newsmagazines as they will until the end of October. ABC's 20/20 was down five tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo while NBC's Dateline NBC was down two tenths in viewers and the demo.
