After sweating out several months, The Mentalist will get a 7th season on CBS after all. The show did not get picked up with all the other CBS shows back in March and many assumed it would be the veteran CBS drama that got the hook, as often happens with CBS. But it never completely fell apart and CBS is going to give it at least one more year, though it could be a half season designated as the final one. I'd be surprised to see it on the fall lineup.
