PILOT PICKUPS: Infamous, Do No Harm

The week of NBC news continues with the pickups of two dramas - Infamous and Do No Harm. These join Chicago Fire, Revolution, and Hannibal on the NBC drama pickup list. There still could be one more but we'll see.

Infamous (formerly titled Notorious) was a late addition to NBC's pilots but built momentum throughout pilot season. The show sounds similar to ABC's Revenge as it centers on a woman returning to a wealthy family she grew up with to solve a murder of an heiress. It looks like opulent soaps are making a comeback on network TV as they were all the range in the 1980s.

Also picked up was the medical drama Do No Harm which has a "Jekyll & Hyde" twist as it centers on a neurosurgeon with a dangerous alter ego. This is the first medical drama pickup and some thought it might come down to this or Jason Katims' County, but not both. We'll see soon enough as NBC could be done with pilot orders but I have a feeling they are not quite done yet.
