In more renewal news, FOX has renewed the veteran reality show Hell's Kitchen for a ninth and tenth edition. The show, featuring Gordon Ramsey, often flies under the radar but was a solid performer on Wednesday nights last fall with its eighth edition as it averaged 6.3 million viewers and a young skewing 2.9 in the demo on a crowded night. FOX plans to kick off the next edition in late summer and will film the next two editions back-to-back though it's unknown if they will both air during the season next year.
This was not a surprising move by FOX and as mentioned the other day, there will be more renewals coming. Some sure bets to join Hell's Kitchen, The Simpsons, The Cleveland Show, Family Guy, American Dad, Raising Hope, and Glee include House and Bones. Bubble shows such as Lie to Me, Fringe, Human Target, and The Chicago Code might have a tough go of it with high profile series in development including Simon Cowell's X-Factor, a Bones spinoff, and Steven Spielberg's Terra Nova. X-Factor and Nova are sure to be on the fall schedule while the Bones spinoff seems a likely bet too.
