ABC was the only network that was fully new on Wednesday night. At 8pm, The Middle was up a nice 1.3 million viewers and two tenths in the demo from its last new airing. At 8:30pm, Suburgatory followed suit and was up eight tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo. While not building out of The Middle anymore, it is still very compatible. At 9pm, Modern Family was up 1.8 million viewers and six tenths in the demo. This is its best demo number since November 2 as it benefited from less competition. At 9:30pm, Happy Endings was up 1.1 million viewers and four tenths in the demo. It still squandered a lot of the lead-in but a 3.2 demo isn't too bad. At 10pm, Revenge did not suffer from the weeks off as it was up seven tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo. Elsewhere, an I Get That a Lot special did decently for CBS but a Mobbed special tanked for FOX.
