ABC was in repeats on Thursday night with an improved Wipeout and a low-rated Grey's Anatomy. CBS though was all new. At 8pm, The Big Bang Theory was down three tenths in viewers but even in the demo from its last new airing two weeks ago. Despite being against repeats on NBC and ABC, this was the second lowest total viewer number. It was followed by Rules of Engagement which was up 1.2 million viewers and four tenths in the demo from last week when it followed a repeat of Big Bang. At 9pm, CSI was up a million viewers and three tenths in the demo from two weeks ago as it did not have to face new episodes of Grey's Anatomy or The Office. Finally at 10pm, The Mentalist was down half a million viewers but up a tenth in the demo which is right around its average number.
NBC was in repeats to very low numbers including an absolutely pathetic 1.9 million viewers for a repeat of Perfect Couples. FOX was on top as usual at 8pm with American Idol but it was down 3.2 million viewers and a 1.5 in the demo. The demo is a season low as audiences did not want to sit through the fluff of an hour long results show. At 9pm, Bones was up seven tenths in viewers but down a tenth in the demo from its last new airing three weeks ago. The numbers were still solid but as usual, retention was bad.
