On Wednesday night, there was another mix of repeats and originals. ABC started with the two episode season finale of Suburgatory. The 8pm tied a series low while the 8:30pm episode was a little bit higher, but not much. This show has been a big disappointment in year two. I think ABC will renew the show but I'd be surprised to see it stay on Wednesdays as it went from an over-performer to an under-performer. How to Live with Your Parents (for the Rest of Your Life) had its first major test as it had to follow a Modern Family rerun. It was down 1.2 million viewers and half a demo point. That's a big drop but it's worth noting that Suburgatory's last 9:30pm episode followed a NEW Modern Family and only got a 1.9 demo. I think this is a solid week three showing. Elsewhere, Survivor was up six tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo for CBS and American Idol was up half a million viewers and two tenths in the demo for its best performance since March 20.
