GOOD WEEK: "CHICAGO FIRE"
OK, so I know I just gave it to this show two weeks ago but it deserves it again after tying
CSI in the demo for the first time ever. No one thought this show had a real chance against
CSI and the much more buzzed
Nashville. But it regularly beats
Nashville and has its eye on
CSI. Just to compare,
Nashville premiered with a 2.8 demo on October 10 and it is down to a 1.8 demo, a full point drop. On that very same night and at the very same time,
Chicago Fire debuted to a 1.9 demo and that is where it stands today. It is the overperformer of the year as far as I'm concerned because it seemed like NBC didn't even have huge hopes for it.
BAD WEEK: ABC THURSDAY AT 8PM

With the terrible 1.4 demo premiere of
Zero Hour on Thursday night, ABC continues to be stuck in reverse in that hour despite a solid 1-2 punch of
Grey's Anatomy and
Scandal to close the night. Since the Fall of 2009
, FlashForward, The Deep End, My Generation, Charlie's Angels, Missing, and
Last Resort have all failed in the slot. And now it would take a miracle to not add
Zero Hour to this list by the end of the season. I have said it before and I'll say it again, ABC should consider moving
Dancing with the Stars/The Bachelor to Tuesday 8pm and then air the
Dancing results on Thursday night. When
Dancing takes its break, ABC can use filler until it comes back. I think it would shore up a slot that has been nothing short of a constant failure.
