ABC was all-new on Monday night but it was only to mild results. Week 2 of the new season of The Bachelor was down half a million viewers and a tenth in the demo from last week's premiere. That might seem like a decent hold but in the past, The Bachelor has gone up in Week 2 so it's a bit concerning. At 10pm, Castle was was down half a million viewers and three tenths in the demo. This was against a Hawaii Five-0 repeat while last week was against an original so that is not great news for the recently renewed Castle. CBS was in repeats but their shows repeated fairly well as usual.
NBC aired a repeat of Chuck and an encore of Sunday's premiere of The Cape but in its regular time period. Between Sunday and Monday, The Cape got about 12 million viewers and a 3.6 in the demo. It will be interesting to see how many viewers come back for Week 2 next Monday. FOX double-pumped new episodes of Lie to Me with the 8pm episode doing slightly better. The 9pm episode in its regular timeslot was down a million viewers and seven tenths in the demo from its last original episode on November 29. That is not good news for this bubble show.
