It's worth noting that this week marks the end of The Big Bang Theory, which ends its run after 12 seasons and 279 episodes. I was never a fan of the show so I don't have any long post saying goodbye, but there's no denying its dominance in an era of ever decreasing viewership. It soared to some unbelievable ratings heights in the early 2010s after a modest start in 2007. At a time where very few shows can even get a 2.0 demo anymore, Big Bang never dropped below that level until this year. It may be the last huge tentpole comedy in the vein of Cheers, Friends, Seinfeld, and others that we'll ever see and feels a bit like a relic from another era of television. Congrats to the cast and crew on a remarkable run!
