On Sunday night, it was another strong week for Little Big Shots. The new hit was down 1.7 million viewers and two tenths in the demo but it still dominated the night. This is a huge success story for NBC, even the 7pm repeats are doing pretty well. It also might be a candidate for Thursday nights before football starts in November next season if NBC wants it to come back before next winter on Sundays after football season. At 9pm, The Carmichael Show was down 1.4 million viewers and a tenth in the demo. Its retention in the demo was only 50% and total viewership was less than that. At 9:30pm, Crowded was pretty much dead on arrival in its new Sunday slot after OK sampling. It had only a 1.0 demo and didn't make any sort of case to get a shot at the 9pm slot. At 10pm, Hollywood Game Night was down half a million viewers and a tenth in the demo for a new series low.
On FOX, another live musical attempt less than two months after Grease Live did not get much attention though it was an improvement over the usual FOX Sunday lineup. Tyler Perry's The Passion Live is now the new low for a live musical though it was more of a narrow focus and production than the others on NBC and FOX. The CBS lineup got started over half an hour late thanks to a basketball overrun that was pretty strong. It helped 60 Minutes rise 1.5 million viewers and four tenths in the demo. Madam Secretary followed and was down eight tenths in viewers and even in the demo. The total viewer count is still pretty decent. The Good Wife was up eight tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo. Elementary moved over to Sunday nights but got a raw deal as it had to start at 10:35pm and it ended up tying its series low from November. We'll see how it does when it starts at 10pm.
And finally, ABC's Sunday lineup is disintegrating. At 7pm, America's Funniest Home Videos was down four tenths in viewers and even in the demo. It was the most watched show in the lineup and tied for the best demo... yikes. At 8pm, Once Upon a Time continued to go down as it fell another eight tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo for a pretty ugly result. The Family has fallen off the map completely as it dropped nine tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo. And Quantico, which was once a bright spot, fell another half a million viewers and a tenth in the demo. This entire lineup is very problematic.
WINNER OF THE NIGHT: Little Big Shots (NBC)
LOSER OF THE NIGHT: Once Upon a Time (ABC)
