Monday night brought back The Voice and Blindspot to NBC and The Voice gave NBC a much needed jolt to the night, delivering 13.3 million viewers and a 3.4 demo. It was below last winter's premiere and just slightly below the fall premiere, but a strong result nonetheless. The news was not nearly as good for Blindspot, which came back to series lows at a disappointing 1.8 demo. This is reminiscent of Revolution two years ago and we all know how that turned out. NBC had to be hoping that Blindspot could come back stronger and not to a series low. ABC did not get hit at all by the increased competition, which was impressive especially for The Bachelor. Despite facing another female-skewing reality show, it was down just half a million viewers and even in the demo. At 10pm, Castle was down two tenths in viewers and even in the demo.

CBS was hit hard by the competition with everything falling. At 8pm, Supergirl was down six tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo for a series low. It actually lost to its DC rival, Gotham. At 9pm, Scorpion was down seven tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo for a series low. The total viewer count is OK but this show is skewing older. At 10pm, NCIS: Los Angeles was down nine tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo for its worst performance since it had to face Blindspot in November. Finally, FOX had the return of Gotham to OK numbers, pretty much on par with how it did in the fall. It led into Lucifer, which fell a million viewers and two tenths in the demo with a much lower lead-in. I wouldn't call that overly impressive or horrible, it probably keeps Lucifer on the bubble.

WINNER OF THE NIGHT: The Voice (NBC)
LOSER OF THE NIGHT: Blindspot (NBC)
