Sunday night was all about the Oscars, of course. With host Chris Rock and a politically charged night following no white nominees in the acting categories for a second year in a row, the ceremony dropped to its lowest total viewer count since 2008 and its lowest demo ever (or since they started measuring the demo). I think this was less about Rock, who got good reviews, and the controversy and more about a lack of intriguing and popular movies in contention. The rest of the networks basically took the night off with newsmagazines, movies, and repeats.
