On Thursday night, The Big Bang Theory was new again for CBS, but it broke its streak of six straight 3.8 demos. It was down 1.2 million viewers and three tenths in the demo for a series low. At 8:30pm, Life in Pieces was up two tenths in viewers and the demo with a Big Bang lead-in again. At 9pm, Mom was down a tenth in viewers and the demo from last week, despite a better lead-in. 2 Broke Girls was down two tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo. At 10pm, Elementary was down three tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo in its final Thursday airing before it heads to Sunday on March 20. On FOX, American Idol went under a 2.0 demo for the first time this season, falling six tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo.
On ABC, Grey's Anatomy continued to roll as it was down just two tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo and easily remained tops of the TGIT block. At 9pm, Scandal returned after a week off and was up a tenth in viewers and even in the demo. Last year, Scandal was way above Grey's and now it's way below it. A testament to Grey's, but also a huge problem for Scandal. At 10pm, How to Get Away with Murder was up three tenths in viewers and even in the demo. Finally on NBC, You, Me, and the Apocalypse was down a tenth in viewers and even in the demo to start things off. After a repeat of Law & Order: SVU, Shades of Blue was up a tenth in viewers and even in the demo. It would be interesting to see how this show would do on the Wednesday lineup.
WINNER OF THE NIGHT: Grey's Anatomy (ABC)
LOSER OF THE NIGHT: You, Me, and the Apocalypse (NBC)d
