NBC had another successful December Thursday as its new TV movie, Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors delivered a stunning 13 million viewers. It skewed old with a 1.8 demo, but the total viewer count is very impressive, the best for a movie on NBC in several years. A Michael Buble special did OK as a lead-in as well. On CBS, The Big Bang Theory was up a tenth in viewers and even in the demo from its last airing. The other three comedies were down from their Thanksgiving night airings: Life in Pieces was up six tenths in viewers but down two tenths in the demo. Mom was up two tenths in viewers and down a tenth in the demo. 2 Broke Girls was down two tenths in viewers and the demo for series lows. At 10pm, Elementary was down three tenths in viewers and even in the demo. Finally, ABC had a Toy Story special leading into the movie and they didn't get much traction. Finally, FOX had two hours of Bones. At 8pm, it was down seven tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo. This was the first time it went below a 1.0 demo. The 9pm episode was down a bit in total viewers and up a bit in the demo.
WINNER OF THE NIGHT: Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors (NBC)
LOSER OF THE NIGHT: Bones (FOX)
