On Friday night, ABC had the season premiere of Last Man Standing. It could have been worse, but it was softer than other premieres. This show seems to be quietly and slowly slipping away on Friday nights. We'll see how it does with Cristela next week. At 9pm, Shark Tank was down two tenths in viewers and even in the demo. It's kind of surprising that the demo stayed the same when it aired for two hours last week. At 10pm, 20/20 was down 1.7 million viewers and three tenths in the demo. Over on NBC, Dateline NBC was down 1.4 million viewers and three tenths in the demo. The newsmagazines were not as strong this week.
Over on CBS, The Amazing Race was up six tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo from last week's weak premiere. At 9pm, Hawaii Five-0 also recovered a bit as it was up six tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo. Things are looking a little bit better for CBS Friday. At 10pm, Blue Bloods was dead even with its season premiere last week. Finally on FOX, Utopia was down a tenth in viewers and the demo to a pitiful series low. No wonder they booted it from Tuesdays.
WINNER OF THE NIGHT: Shark Tank (ABC)
LOSER OF THE NIGHT: Utopia (FOX)
