On Thursday night, March Madness took over CBS which means they were way down from their regular Thursday numbers but pretty even year-to-year. ABC had a good night with the return of a fully new lineup. The premiere of the regular Wife Swap overperformed for 8pm. This is the third time in four nights a reality series on ABC has surprised me with their numbers. At 9pm, Grey's Anatomy rebounded from last week's low as it was up 1.2 million viewers and four tenths in the demo. At 10pm, Scandal returned after three weeks off and up eight tenths in viewers and even in the demo.
NBC has another terrible night as Community was up four tenths in viewers and even in the demo and two episodes of 1600 Penn were both down a tenth in the demo from last week's episode. NBC averaged a 1.0 demo for the night just like Tuesday. What a disaster. The Voice and Revolution can't come back soon enough. On FOX, American Idol was even in viewers but down two tenths in the demo. For the first time EVER, it dipped below a 3 in the demo and was beaten by Grey's Anatomy. At 9pm, Glee was up half a million viewers and even in the demo.
