ABC was all new on Friday night with its unscripted lineup and very little to report. At 8pm, the season finale of Shark Tank was up half a million viewers and a tenth in the demo. The viewer total is the second best on Fridays this season as this show has been a solid utility player which is why it was renewed. At 9pm, Primetime: What Would You Do? was down three tenths in viewers and even in the demo. It's probably time to give this show a break. Finally at 10pm, 20/20 was down a big 1.9 million viewers and half a demo point without the Osama bin Laden news leading the way.
CBS was all new with its trio of dramas. At 8pm, the second week of the new season of Flashpoint was up seven tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo which is good news as it had a soft premiere last week. At 9pm, the season finale of CSI: NY was up nine tenths in viewers and even in the demo. Will this show come back next year? If it does, it will almost certainly stay on Fridays unless CBS expands to Saturdays. At 10pm, the season finale of Blue Bloods was up a nice 1.4 million viewers and three tenths in the demo from last week, showing a nice rebound for the season finale. This show is widely expected to be back and will likely be in the same timeslot.
NBC had little to report with Friday Night Lights which was up a tenth in viewers and even in the demo. At 9pm, Dateline NBC was down a tenth in viewers and two tenths in the demo. Over on FOX, they double-pumped Kitchen Nightmares since Fringe concluded its season last week. A new episode at 8pm was up a tenth in viewers and even in the demo but it still won the hour in the demo... with a 1.6. What a sad state Friday night is on TV.
