While FOX and NBC have released their fall schedules, CBS is still picking up shows and just picked up four more shows to go with the already picked up Person of Interest and Two Broke Girls.
CBS picked up The 2-2 (known during pilot season as Rookies). The ensemble cop drama starring Leelee Sobieski among others was always getting good buzz as a pilot and it was not surprising that it got a pickup. Considering it's a cop procedural, it should fit in well with the CBS brand of crime procedurals.
Also picked up was Unforgettable (know in pilot season as The Rememberer). Starring Poppy Montgomery and Dylan Walsh, the show focuses on an NYPD detective (just like The 2-2!) who can remember everything. Again, it has a distinct CBS feel to it as CBS was certainly playing it safe with their pilots in contrast to the high concept, creative pilots at ABC and NBC.
Another drama picked up is A Gifted Man (formerly the Untitled Susannah Grant Medical Drama). The medical drama has a supernatural twist to it and is about a surgeon who learns things from his dead ex-wife. The show stars Patrick Wilson and Jennifer Ehle. Unlike some pilot seasons, there were very few medical shows in development but this one got a pickup.
Finally, another comedy was picked up and it was another frontrunner - How to Be a Gentleman. The buddy comedy stars David Hornsby and Kevin Dillon and is about two friends with opposite personalities. It could be a natural fit with Two and a Half Men, which has a similar concept. This and Two Broke Girls are the only two comedy pickups for now at CBS.
