CANCELLATION ALERT: The Job

CBS has yanked Friday reality show The Job after two very low rated episodes. The reality series took over for Undercover Boss but premiered a full demo point lower than Boss with a terrible 0.9 demo. Then it week two, it dipped to 0.7 and seemed to take CSI: NY down with it. CBS will have no more of that especially with Golden Boy joining the Friday lineup soon. Boss will return to its 8pm slot, much sooner than expected. It's quite possible we'll see The Job on Saturdays at some point for a burnoff.

It has been an uncharacteristically rough year for the newbies on CBS as The Job joined Made in Jersey and Partners as quick cancellations. How I Met Your Mother and NCIS are the only official renewals for next season but there are many shows sure to join them: 2 Broke Girls, The Amazing Race, The Big Bang Theory, Blue Bloods, CSI, Criminal Minds, Elementary, Hawaii Five-0, Mike & Molly, NCIS: Los Angeles, Person of Interest, Survivor, Undercover Boss, and (if they can lock up the actors), Two and a Half Men. On the bubble is CSI: NY, The Good Wife, The Mentalist, Rules of Engagement, and Vegas. At least three if not four of those shows are likely going to be gone.
