After yet another strong premiere, FOX has renewed
Masterchef Junior for a fourth edition, presumably to air next fall. The show was originally slated to air on Fridays again this season but it ended up being a pinch hitter on Tuesdays when
Utopia tanked. It surprised by premiering to a series high in the demo and held up well through the fall. When it returned again for its third edition this past week, it tied the series high again.
Masterchef Junior was one of the few bright spots on a dismal FOX schedule.
Masterchef Junior joins
Bob's Burgers as an early FOX renewal. Sure to join them are
Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Family Guy, The Simpsons, Gotham, Hell's Kitchen, Sleepy Hollow, American Idol, and
New Girl. I'm pretty confident in
Bones and
The Mindy Project too and it's looking very good early on for
Empire. Still to premiere on FOX are
World's Funniest Fails, Backstrom, Last Man on Earth, Weird Loners, and season three of
The Following.
