Monday night had a full return to new programming and CBS and FOX took last week off. Everything on CBS came back down from two weeks ago. 2 Broke Girls was down two tenths in viewers and the demo while Mike & Molly was dead even with last week, when it followed a repeat. Mike & Molly has been doing better and better from a retention standpoint. At 9pm, Scorpion seemed to get no bounce from the extra airing on Sunday. It was down two tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo. At 10pm, NCIS: Los Angeles took the biggest hit. It was down a big 2.2 million viewers and half a demo point. It didn't have competition from Castle two weeks ago, could that have really made that big a difference?
FOX had a disappointing night with Gotham falling six tenths in viewers and three tenths in the demo to tie a series low. Sleepy Hollow hit an outright series low as it dropped three tenths in viewers and the demo. It's a little telling that FOX didn't give this a renewal last week and the FOX brass didn't sound overly supportive of the show's creative direction. ABC and NBC were on the upswing without competition from the college football championship. On ABC, The Bachelor was up 1.1 million viewers and three tenths in the demo from last week's series low while Castle was up eight tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo from last week's series low. On NBC, Celebrity Apprentice was up six tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo while State of Affairs had a surprising rebound. It was up nine tenths in viewers and an odd four tenths in the demo. It's not a big enough rally, but interesting nonetheless.
WINNER OF THE NIGHT: Mike & Molly (CBS)
LOSER OF THE NIGHT: Sleepy Hollow (FOX)
