Another new show has bit the dust after just two episodes and its the CBS Monday comedy We Are Men joining Lucky 7 on the cancellation heap. The show premiered to a weak 2.0 demo on the second Monday of the season. It only fell two tenths to a 1.8 demo this week but the writing was on the wall for such a critically panned show. It also seems to be an early casualty because CBS is making some big moves on Monday nights, which have been falling apart.
CBS is also pulling the plug on the "2 Broke Girls at a 9pm anchor" experiment after just over a year. This is actually bigger news in some ways because it shows that CBS is finally seeing the writing on the wall with this show. It is not CBS's next The Big Bang Theory by any means. It will move to 8:30pm. The 9pm slot will be The Big Bang Theory repeats for three weeks, which should do pretty well as Big Bang repeats usually do. They actually should help newbie Mom at 9:30pm as well. On November 4, Mike & Molly will get a chance to be the 9pm anchor when it begins its fourth season. I'm not sure Mike & Molly will be a better anchor than Girls but I don't think it'll be worse and it could be more compatible with Mom. For now, weak 10pm drama Hostages is staying put but after a 1.2 demo this week, I think we could be seeing more changes to CBS Monday soon.
