NBC's early premieres continued Thursday but the results were nearly as good as other nights. SNL Weekend Update Thursday started its first of a couple specials way down from similar specials in 2008 that often featured Tina Fey as Sarah Palin. The season premieres of Up All Night, the final season of The Office, and Parks and Recreation were near the series lows they set last year. It's scary to think how things might go next week when ABC and CBS are new again though NBC clearly made a decision to not focus on Thursday nights this season. Still, I wouldn't be shocked to see Up All Night pulled for Community before the latter show makes its planned Friday debut. Elsewhere, FOX's The X Factor was up a good 1.9 million viewers and four tenths in the demo from last week's debut while Glee was up a tenth in viewers but down two tenths in the demo. How will Glee hold up when Grey's Anatomy and Person of Interest return next week?
