NBC's preseason winning streak continued on Tuesday night as The Voice once again improved on the previous week. It was up a strong 1.8 million viewers and seven tenths in the demo from last week and scored an impressive 5.0 demo in the 8:30pm half hour. This show has been a beast in the weeks leading up to the season but next week it faces much more competition. The third episode of Go On was down four tenths in viewers and even in the demo from last week. Though retention was worse, this show has a lot of positive signs as viewers have now come back in force for the third episode. If I'm NBC, I would be cautiously optimistic but next week is the real test. The news wasn't as good for The New Normal which was down nine tenths in viewers and three tenths in the demo from last Tuesday. Against little competition and with a steady lead-in, this wasn't a great showing. At 10pm, Parenthood was down half a million viewers and a tenth in the demo.
