Sunday night was all about the Oscars. The 84th annual event brought Billy Crystal back as host after last year's failed James Franco-Anne Hathaway experiment. It was up 1.4 million viewers but down a tenth in the demo from last year's telecast. Not bad considering there were very few mainstream movies in major categories. Repeat episodes dominated most of the other networks but shows that were new got killed. The Amazing Race was down 2.6 million viewers and six tenths in the demo and Celebrity Apprentice was down 2.2 million viewers and eight tenths in the demo. Both results are to be expected though.
