GOOD WEEK: "THE BIG BANG THEORY"
CBS's hit sitcom is quickly becoming the hottest show on TV. With each week that passes, another high is hit for Thursdays, and this past week it hit a SERIES high in total viewers. In the timeslot that made Friends one of the biggest hits of all time for NBC, CBS's Big Bang is soaring higher and higher. Going into syndication this fall has really helped the show find new audiences and it's doing more than anyone ever expected it could as a Thursday 8pm show. Most things are going right for CBS lately but this is the ultimate example and it begs the question - can it continue to grow?
BAD WEEK: "THE FIRM"
Another week, another NBC-related post in the "Bad Week" section and it's the second time for The Firm. NBC ordered 22 episodes because of its cheap cost but the show completely tanked and is being banished to Saturdays just a few episodes in. NBC can't rely on cheap pickups, they need shows that are both quality but mass appealing. The Firm pickup, like The Jay Leno Show, shows a lack of understanding about viewers. NBC has The Voice and Smash this week and if they don't work, what will?
