MILLION DOLLAR MONEY DROP Hosted by Kevin Pollack FOX is bridging its fall season and its American Idol -fueled midseason with the game show Million Dollar Money Drop , based on a British show. In the game-show world, it's probably most similar to Deal or No Deal but it's a far more interesting show. It is more tense without the drama being blown out of proportion though it does take a long time to reveal answers as all game shows in this era do. Also the contestants (both couples in the pilot) were less annoying and easy to root for. Host Kevin Pollack does a nice job of being entertaining but sympathetic. In an unsurprising move, FOX has axed The Good Guys which wrapped up its first season finale. The Good Guys followed an unconventional course as it was put on the fall schedule before it even premiered this past summer. It had very low ratings during a Monday night summer run and then things got worse when it aired on Fridays this fall. Still, FOX let it air all 20 episodes of its first season. It was not scheduled for the remainder of the season though some predicted it might get a summer run, but that will not happen. In its airings during the official fall season, it averaged a very low 2.5 million viewers and a 0.7 in the demo in eleven airings so there is no surprise that it won't be back. FOX will probably still cut more series as it has the heavily hyped Terra Nova and X-Factor arriving next fall.
