The first fall show had its premiere Sunday night and the results were not encouraging. FOX premiered its new unscripted experiment Utopia and gave it a chance to have an NFL lead-in but it bled viewers pretty badly over the two hour premiere. I think these numbers are discouraging enough that the Tuesday ratings will show it crashes and burns and I can't even imagine the Friday ratings. I think this show isn't going to be around long. Over on NBC, the first Sunday Night Football between the Broncos and Colts was down 1.7 million viewers and a full demo point from last year's Giants-Cowboys tilt. It was still a solid performance and even though they are better teams, Denver and Indianapolis are not as big a draw as Dallas and the NY Giants. CBS aired its regular summer lineup and did well against the NFL. 60 Minutes was up nine tenths in viewers and four tenths in the demo. Big Brother was up 1.2 million viewers and four tenths in the demo. Maybe promos earlier in the day during football helped this show. Unforgettable was up a million viewers and a tenth in the demo while Reckless was up three tenths in viewers and down two tenths in the demo. Finally on ABC, Wipeout was down four tenths in viewers and up a tenth in the demo.
