In an unsurprising move, FOX has cancelled summer drama Gang Related. The show was part of a conscious effort from FOX to provide scripted shows all year round (along with 24: Live Another Day). However, Gang Related was a bust from the start in late May as it hovered around a 0.7 or 0.8 all summer. I have to wonder if Gang Related will discourage FOX or other networks from doing these types of serious dramas in the summer season.
