On Thursday night, it was all about The Big Bang Theory as usual. It was up 1.4 million viewers and three tenths in the demo from last week as it is towering above everything else on TV by more than a demo point at this point. At 8:30pm, The Millers was up seven tenths in viewers but even in the demo. It is now at just 50% retention out of The Big Bang Theory which is worse than failed occupants Rob and $*! My Dad Says. I have to think CBS is going to try something else in this slot at some point this season because the retention is getting too glaring to ignore. At 9pm, The Crazy Ones was up six tenths in viewers and even in the demo while Two and a Half Men was up four tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo. At least these two shows seem very compatible with each other, which is surprising given their styles. At 10pm, Elementary was down four tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo. This show is a big DVR gainer so that helps its case. It's just not as much of an appointment show as its timeslot competition, Scandal.

Over on ABC, Once Upon a Time in Wonderland was down a tenth in viewers and even in the demo, not dropping for the first time. Of course it's at a 0.9 demo so that's really a moot point. At 9pm, Grey's Anatomy was down a tenth in viewers and the demo, tying a series low again. At 10pm, Scandal was up three tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo. FOX is in bad shape on Thursdays. The X Factor had a little bit of a rebound as it was up 1.5 million viewers and a tenth in the demo. It's barely getting half of what it was getting last year. At 9pm, Glee was up two tenths in viewers and down a tenth in the demo for a series low. I'll say it again, FOX is going to regret renewing this show for two seasons. Also if Bones has trouble on Friday nights, it should flip with the results show of The X Factor. It could certainly do better than a 1.3 demo.

Finally, things continue to get uglier on NBC on Thursdays as no show topped a 1.2 demo. Every time it seems like the basement can't get lower, it does and this is the biggest problem for any network on any night. At 8pm, Parks and Recreation returned after three weeks off to a series low as it was down three tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo. At 9pm, Sean Saves the World proved last week's numbers fueled by The Voice were nothing more than a mirage as it fell apart and was down 2 million viewers and half a demo point for a series low. Another series low was reached by The Michael J. Fox Show as it fell a million viewers and a tenth in the demo. This is just getting sad. At 10pm, Parenthood was down a tenth in viewers and the demo. It tied a series low but was the only show to not outright hit a series low. It's also the only show up year to year in the time period (last year was Rock Center in this slot).
