On Wednesday night, many repeats mixed in with the new episodes. Only FOX was fully new as American Idol was up 1.5 million viewers and a strong seven tenths in the demo for its Top 13 performance night. This was a strong showing after a couple down weeks. Over on NBC, the 8pm comedies were up possibly due to repeats on ABC. Whitney was up a tenth in both viewers and the demo while Are You There, Chelsea? was up two tenths in viewers and the demo, posting better retention than usual. Rock Center with Brian Williams shifted to 10pm for a week and was up seven tenths in viewers and three tenths in the demo. It did better at 10pm but was still low.

Over on CBS, only Survivor was new but it was up a tenth in viewers and three tenths in the demo for a season high. CBS must be glad to see it back in the 3s for the demo. ABC was in repeats from 8-9:30pm but Happy Endings was all new after the repeats. Not surprisingly it was down a big 1.4 million viewers and seven tenths in the demo for season lows. This is basically Cougar Town last year which means a renewal is likely. An ABC News Special "Revenge for Real" was well below usual Revenge numbers but above Revenge repeat numbers.

RHODA: SEASON FIVE 1978 13 episodes Rhoda' s final season was a truncated one as the show was cancelled in December 1978 after only 13 episodes had been produced (and only nine had aired). This feels like a continuation from season four in many ways except with the ill-advised split between Ida and Martin (more on that below). DECADE IN REVIEW: The Best Comedies of the 2010s

During the month of December, I will be looking back at the decade that was the 2010s on TV. I will be sharing my favorite sitcoms, dramas, the best episodes, the best performances and the worst shows of the decade. To be eligible for this list, a show had to air the majority of its episodes in the 2010s. However, for the rankings and determination, all episodes were taken into account, including ones that may have aired before 2010. I will also preface that there are comedies that have aired this decade that I haven't watched yet so this is the best of what I have watched. To be fair, that preface is more true for dramas.
