Against the College Football National Championship, which set an all time cable ratings record, on ESPN, the broadcast networks suffered greatly. On ABC, week two of The Bachelor was down 1.3 million viewers and four tenths in the demo for a series low in the demo. This franchise is looking like it's embarking on a down year. At 10pm, Castle was down half a million viewers and a tenth in the demo for a new series low. It's time to put something else in this slot, ABC has left Castle here too long. Over on CBS, only Mike & Molly was on and it continued to be a strong performer even when surrounded by repeats. It was broadcast TV's top show of the night and was down just four tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo from last week, when it had a new lead-in. Finally on NBC, week two of Celebrity Apprentice held up better than The Bachelor. It was down six tenths in viewers and three tenths in the demo. The wheels have completely come off for State of Affairs, which was down nine tenths in viewers and three tenths in the demo for another series low. This show is just airing out the string at this point.

WINNER OF THE NIGHT: Mike & Molly (CBS)
LOSER OF THE NIGHT: State of Affairs (NBC)
