After some promising numbers at the beginning of the week for new and returning shows, an early start to ABC's Friday night lineup provided less than promising results. At 8pm, the season three premiere of Last Man Standing premiered close to where it was for most of last season but well below last year's November season premiere. The bigger problem was at 8:30pm though where The Neighbors had a very low premiere. While it was obviously down from its Wednesday numbers, it was also down from the usual numbers Malibu Country got in the same spot for most of last season. I'm really not sure why ABC kept The Neighbors instead of Malibu or How to Live with Your Parents. At 9pm, Shark Tank had a lower than usual number in its season premiere. If ABC thinks The Neighbors is bringing down Shark Tank, it will be gone sooner rather than later. The new programming did help 20/20 though as it was up nine tenths in viewers and three tenths in the demo from last week.
