Here is a look at Week #2!
ABC
ABC has the premiere of their entire Tuesday lineup this week including the final season of The Middle and series premieres of Kevin (Probably) Saves the World and the acclaimed The Mayor. ABC also has the season premieres of the final season of Scandal on Thursday, the rebooted Once Upon a Time on Friday, and the long-running America's Funniest Home Videos in a new timeslot on Sunday. Among week two performances, all eyes will be on The Good Doctor after its potent debut (and impressive L+3 gains). I think Good Doctor will hold up well but it won't be so pretty for other 10pm dramas this week including the new Kevin and the second week of the season for Designated Survivor and How to Get Away with Murder, both of which had underwhelming numbers in Premiere Week.

CBS
CBS had a huge premiere for Young Sheldon last week, but they are following through on their plan to hold it until midseason. They may regret that when 9JKL premieres and can't hold nearly as much of the Big Bang Theory audience as Sheldon did. The only other premiere on CBS this week is Madam Secretary on Sundays. CBS tends to have decent second weeks because a lot of their shows don't pop for premieres like ones on other networks do. So I wouldn't expect huge drops anywhere outside of possibly the Monday 9pm hour, which had Sheldon inflated numbers.

NBC
NBC was the only network to air all of its series premieres in premiere week but for The Brave and Law & Order True Crime, it was pretty underwhelming and they both could see steep drops. However, NBC got huge numbers from This is Us and Will & Grace. It will be interesting to see what happens this week after their heavily hyped premieres. Obviously they'll still be among the top shows on TV, but a drop seems inevitable.

FOX
FOX has the premiere of its Monday lineup of Lucifer and the new The Gifted, which has gotten a decent amount of promotion. Still, the only night working for FOX is Wednesday and I don't see Monday ultimately joining that list. FOX's Sunday lineup will probably top tonight's Premiere Week numbers since it will have a direct NFL lead-in.

TV NEWS & THOUGHTS
- After just one episodes, albeit a hugely rated one, CBS has picked up Young Sheldon for the season. But they are sticking with their plan to not air episode two until November 2 which seems like a mistake after the momentum it has from its big premiere.
- Rent Live will not air on FOX until January 27, 2019
- NBC renewed Marlon for a second season, which is surprising given its quiet summer run. I'd imagine it won't be back until Summer 2018 though I guess it could air in the spring.
- Madam Secretary will start airing repeats on WE-TV in 2018 while continuing to stream on Netflix along with the new CBS episodes.
- American Idol has added Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie as judges alongside Katy Perry for the ABC reboot. Am I the only one who thinks this is going to be a huge disappointment in the ratings?
