On Wednesday night, NBC premiered American Ninja Warrior. While it's not quite America's Got Talent, it still was a solid performance that was just slightly below last year's premiere. It led into the season premiere of The Night Shift, which wasn't that much worse than its late in-season performances over a year ago. This is more appropriate as a summer series. On ABC, 500 Questions ended its short run with numbers on par with its regular results. Finally on FOX, Masterchef finally broke the sub 1.0 demo run FOX has been on by premiering with 3.8 million viewers and a 1.2 demo. It was on par with last year's premiere. At 9pm, Wayward Pines was down six tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo.
