Midterm Election coverage took over the 10pm hour and also led to lots of repeats and specials on Tuesday night. NBC claimed the top demo and CBS had the most viewers as far as the election coverage went (FOX News topped them all though). FOX had great news at 8pm where Masterchef Junior premiered to a new series high. It drew a lot more attention than I thought it would though the competition was light. It was clearly a good move for FOX to bring this show here and dump Utopia. The lead-in helped the 9pm comedies rise to their best numbers since the season premiere. New Girl was up 1.1 million viewers and four tenths in the demo while The Mindy Project was up six tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo. On ABC, an hour of Selfie saw series lows for the show. I'd be shocked if this show got a full season. After a clip show of The Voice, the NBC comedies sunk to new lows. Marry Me was down six tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo. It still got an extra five episodes ordered today by NBC. It was worse for About a Boy, which tumbled six tenths in viewers and three tenths in the demo to a dreadful 0.9. This show is dead.

WINNER OF THE NIGHT: Masterchef Junior (FOX)
LOSER OF THE NIGHT: About a Boy (NBC)
