Halloween night meant some pretty bad demos as usual, with the younger crowd out celebrating. ABC fared the best. At 8pm, Last Man Standing was up half a million viewers and a tenth in the demo. I'm surprised it rose on Halloween night, that's a solid performance. Cristela was up four tenths in viewers and even in the demo. At 9pm, Shark Tank was up nine tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo. This is the biggest surprise of all to me - that a very young skewing show like Shark Tank would rise on Halloween. At 10pm, 20/20 was up four tenths in viewers and down a tenth in the demo. CBS had 1.1 demos throughout the night. The Amazing Race was up four tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo. Hawaii Five-0 was up six tenths in viewers and even in the demo. Blue Bloods was even in viewers and down a tenth in the demo, tying a series low set on May 10, 2013.

NBC was hit the hardest, though not at 8pm where Dateline NBC was up 1.1 million viewers and two tenths in the demo. In recent years, Halloween has seen the biggest drops in the 8pm hour but that was not the case this year as the later hours seemed to suffer more. At 9pm, Grimm was down eight tenths in viewers and three tenths in the demo from the season premiere, tying a season low set in April. This show seems to be trending downward. At 10pm, Constantine completely collapsed in its second week as it fell 1.2 million viewers and half a demo point from its premiere. Any chance it may have had last week is gone now. I expect we'll see Hannibal here in the spring. Finally on FOX, it keeps getting worse for Utopia. The flop was down three tenths in viewers and the demo to a horrible 0.5.

WINNER OF THE NIGHT: Shark Tank (ABC)
LOSER OF THE NIGHT: Constantine (NBC)
