On Sunday night, CBS was all new with less than stellar numbers. At 7pm, 60 Minutes was down 4.3 million viewers and 1.4 demo points from last week when it had a direct football lead-in. At 8pm, the two hour finale of The Amazing Race was actually DOWN from last week for its lowest finale ever. The competition was weaker than usual on ABC too so this is a really disappointing showing. I've said it before and I'll say it again - CBS should consider having The Amazing Race and Survivor share a timeslot with one cycle a year. NBC had a Packers-Lions game that delivered the best ratings in a month for the Sunday night game.
The only regular show on ABC's lineup was America's Funniest Home Videos which was down nine tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo. Christmas specials and movies filled the rest of the night and did OK. Over on FOX, an NFL overrun powered The Simpsons and it was up from the last time it had an NFL lead-in. Bob's Burgers and American Dad were both up from last week when they followed repeats. Family Guy was slightly down from its last new airing.
