FOX's week back from many schedule changes due to the World Series is not looking good as three more series hit season lows. At 8pm, Glee was down nine tenths in viewers and a huge six tenths in the demo for its worst performance in nearly two years. Part of it is the long delay (it hasn't aired since October 4) but this show is fading fast. The craze is over. At 9pm, New Girl was down seven tenths in viewers and a whopping seven tenths in the demo. Did the long hiatus hurt one of fall's hottest new sitcoms? We'll see, but it's curious that FOX went with The X-Factor twice when New Girl was so hot out of the gate. It seems to have lost a lot of momentum. At 9:30pm, Raising Hope was down a million viewers and four tenths in the demo for season lows. All in all, a second disappointing night in a row for FOX.
ABC was all new on Tuesday night with its regular lineup. At 8pm, Last Man Standing was down half a million viewers and just a tenth in the demo as it is stabilizing. Given that it seems to be a nice self-starter, I would expect a full season pickup at any moment. The news was not as good for Man Up! which was down another four tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo, bleeding a lot of Last Man's audience. This show is going nowhere but how long will ABC keep it on the air? At 9pm, the results edition of Dancing with the Stars was up 1.4 million viewers and two tenths in the demo. To close out the night, Body of Proof was up half a million viewers and a tenth in the demo. The jump is good but it was still third in the demo for the time period.
Over on CBS, it was the same old same old though the entire lineup was down some from last week in the demo. At 8pm, NCIS was up three tenths in viewers but down two tenths in the demo. NCIS: Los Angeles followed and was down four tenths in viewers and three tenths in the demo. Finally at 10pm, Unforgettable was even in viewers but down two tenths in the demo to tie a series low. It just squeaked by Parenthood for the demo win and it's not the big Tuesday improvement that CBS was hoping for.
Over on NBC, they finally had some decent news from The Biggest Loser which was up nine tenths in viewers and three tenths in the demo for its best performance of the season. It looked like it was in freefall but this was a rare positive sign for NBC. At 10pm, Parenthood was up three tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo from its last airing two weeks ago. It almost claimed the demo crown for the hour but fell just short. At some point this season, it probably will win the demo.
