On Tuesday night, President Trump turned his Supreme Court nomination announcement into a Primetime event which took up the first 17-22 minutes of the night on the networks. Most were airing repeats so there wasn't much impact and some shows were joined in progress or aired only parts of episodes (side note, when that happens - I always wonder why didn't the networks just continue coverage until 8:30pm?). Perhaps the best performance came from The Mick. Despite following a low-rated 10 minute episode of New Girl, it was up two tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo. At 9pm, Bones was up seven tenths in viewers but down a tenth in the demo. On ABC, only Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was new and it was up two tenths in viewers and even in the demo. On NBC, The Wall aired at 9pm and was down half a million viewers and a tenth in the demo from last week's 8pm episode. On CBS, the annual Super Bowl's Greatest Commercials special was way down from recent years. As usual, the CW did not carry the news event and The Flash benefited as it was up four tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo. At 9pm, DC's Legends of Tomorrow was up a tenth in viewers and the demo.
WINNER OF THE NIGHT: The Mick (FOX)
LOSER OF THE NIGHT: None
