- NBC announced the rest of its midseason plans. Drama The Enemy Within becomes the newest post-Voice show as Enemy will take Manifest's Monday 10pm slot when the new edition of The Voice premieres on February 25. On Tuesdays, The Village will premiere on March 12 at 10pm. It will get to follow This is Us for three weeks before taking the This is Us 9pm slot once the hit drama ends its third season. It's also worth noting that The Voice will have many weeks in the spring where it does not air on Tuesdays as they will continue to air Ellen's Game of Games. World of Dance will get a special preview for its first season inside the regular season. It will air on Tuesday, February 26 before taking over Sundays at 8pm starting March 3, where it will be followed by season two of Good Girls. Surprisingly, it is not the new Abby's taking the Thursdays 8:30pm slot and instead it will be season two of the low rated A.P. Bio starting March 7. There is no date yet for Abby's or drama The Inbetween. Overall, this seems a little messy on Tuesdays and a missed opportunity on Thursdays, but it could have been worse.
- CBS announced that the upcoming seventh season of Elementary will be the show's final one. The drama was a prime member of the schedule for awhile and even had a post-Super Bowl airing, but it was relegated to summer last season and likely will be again this season.
- NBC has cancelled Marlon and Midnight, Texas after two seasons. Marlon aired in the summer and had a decent run in 2017 but a lower run in 2018. Midnight aired in Summer 2017 and didn't return until this fall, but it has had a low rated Friday night run this fall.

- ABC announced it midseason plans in addition to the already announced Schooled premiere and move of American Housewife. The biggest news is that freshman drama A Million Little Things is getting a timeslot upgrade by moving to Thursday 9pm starting January 17. They are benching Station 19 until March 7 when it will return joined by season two of For the People. We'll see how it all works out but this shows what ABC thinks of both Million and Station. Taking Million's place on Wednesday will be Match Game in January and February and the new Whiskey Cavalier starting February 27. Elsewhere, American Idol will debut on March 3 and Shark Tank will move to 10pm as they won't use Idol to launch a new drama on Sundays. They will on Mondays though with The Fix premiering March 18. And 20/20 will expand to two hours on Fridays. New drama Grand Hotel will be held until summer, where it will air after The Bachelorette on Mondays starting June 17. Whew!
- ABC has also given a series order to Bless This Mess, a comedy starring Dax Shepard and Lake Bell. The show was in development at FOX last season but ultimately passed on. It seems like a better fit on ABC and will air next season.

- CBS has announced some of its midseason plans with a big push for unscripted on Wednesday nights. Starting after its post-Super Bowl preview, The World's Best will take over the Wednesday 8pm slot until Survivor returns in late February and World's slides to 9pm (SEAL Team will get bumped to 10pm while Criminal Minds will not get more episodes ordered beyond its 15). When World's ends, the new Million Dollar Mile hosted by Tim Tebow will take the 9pm slot. Finally, the new season of The Amazing Race will premiere on May 22 and take over the Wednesday 8pm slot. CBS also announced a three week run for Big Brother: Celebrity Edition airing multiple nights a week starting Monday, January 21. I like that CBS sees some potential in these new franchises and is giving them an opportunity to succeed instead of making them afterthoughts.
- After announcing unscripted plans on Tuesday, CBS announced comedy plans on Wednesday. New comedy Fam will take over the Murphy Brown slot, Thursdays at 9:30pm starting January 10 while season three of Man with a Plan will replace Happy Together in the Monday 8:30pm slot starting February 4. Neither Murphy or Happy have been officially cancelled, but prospects don't look good for either show. Still TBA is a start date and time for season four of Life in Pieces.
- ABC announced that The Goldbergs spinoff Schooled will take over the Wednesday 8:30pm slot starting January 10. This will bump American Housewife, which will go on a short break and then take over the Tuesday 8pm slot from The Conners starting February 5. The Conners, which was only ever planned for an 11 episode first season, will end on January 22. I understand Schooled following The Goldbergs but launching the Tuesday lineup is a tall order for American Housewife.
