On Monday night, ABC was all new starting with The Bachelorette which was down four tenths in viewers and even in the demo. At 10pm was the series premiere of The Glass House. For all the controversy surrounding this show and CBS, it had a very ho-hum debut. Looks like it might have been much ado about nothing. Elsewhere, NBC's America's Got Talent was down eight tenths in viewers and four tenths in the demo from its last Monday airing while American Ninja Warrior was down a million viewers and two tenths in the demo. FOX was down a couple tenths in the demo each for Hell's Kitchen and Masterchef.

On Sunday night, ABC was all new with its reality combo of Secret Millionaire and Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition. Both shows were on par with their season premieres last week - not great, but probably good enough for ABC. CBS started with 60 Minutes which was down 1.7 million viewers and three tenths in the demo from last week. At 8pm, the Tony Awards was down from last year to its worst numbers since 1991. Unlike in 1991 though, these numbers aren't atypical for summer numbers so I don't think fans of the Tonys have to worry about it being dropped. On NBC, Dateline NBC was up eight tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo.

FOX had two dating game shows. 8pm entry Take Me Out didn't do much but The Choice did alright at 9pm with the second best demo numbers next to a repeat of The Big Bang Theory. NBC's premiere of scripted medical drama Saving Hope did absolutely nothing while Rock Center did no worse than it was doing in the regular season. Over on ABC, Duets continued to fall as week three was down six tenths in viewers and three tenths in the demo. This is a big summer flop for ABC. At 10pm, Rookie Blue was down two tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo.

On Tuesday night, NBC and FOX were all new. NBC started with America's Got Talent which was up 1.1 million viewers but down two tenths in the demo from last week's 9pm episode. If only NBC could be getting these demos in the regular season. At 9pm, the second season premiere of Love in the Wild did not impress as it lost a ton of Talent's audience. Looks like it might be another low-rated summer for Wild. FOX had a second night of Hell's Kitchen/Masterchef. It was down from Monday but still decent. Masterchef actually built on Hell's but maybe that was because of less competition in the 9pm hour. Over on ABC, a 20/20 special about the Queen was similar to last week's 20/20 special about the Queen.

The Bachelorette was up a million viewers and three tenths in the demo for ABC. On NBC, America's Got Talent was up a good 2.2 million viewers and half a demo point while American Ninja Warrior was up a million viewers and a tenth in the demo.

On Sunday night, ABC was all new from 8-11pm with its inspirational reality shows. Both scored a 1.5 which is well below what they were doing when they last aired (Secret Millionaire at 8pm Sunday over a year ago and Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition at 10pm Monday last summer). These aren't great numbers but they will probably do. In my opinion, ABC should rerun new Sunday companions Once Upon a Time and Revenge this summer. The numbers would be bad for sure but they might find some new viewers on the heels of their successful freshman seasons. NBC won the night for the broadcast networks with a better than expected number for Adele's concert as well as the Miss USA Competition.

On Thursday, ABC was all new with week two of summer music competition Duets. It was down nine tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo from last week's disappointing premiere. It's not the next American Idol or The Voice. At 10pm, Rookie Blue was down just four tenths and even in the demo from last week's season premiere. The only other new programming was the final two episodes of the season of Touch which hit series lows. I wouldn't be surprised to see it dip even further on Fridays in the fall.
