CBS announced today that it has renewed
Survivor for next season, both cycles, making it the veteran reality show's 29th and 30th editions!
Survivor has been a staple on CBS since the summer of 2000 and made a successful move from Thursday nights to Wednesday nights a few years back. It is usually one of the first shows renewed by CBS as it requires more lead time for filming and production.
Survivor joins NBC's
The Blacklist and a whole list of FOX shows (
Glee, Bob's Burgers, The Simpsons, and
Sleepy Hollow) as early renewals for next season.
