CBS's summer smash
Under the Dome has been renewed for a second season with plans for it to air in Summer 2014. The show has been unlike any other summer scripted show in recent memory. It debuted to huge numbers in June and has only mildly leveled off since then, regularly pulling around a 2.8 in the demo which would be great for any network (even CBS) during the regular season, much less the summer. Some people thought this was planned as a limited series but CBS insisted that was never the plan and it certainly won't be the plan since it has done so well.
