On the first night of February Sweeps, there were three series premieres to mixed results. CBS had two of those premieres but first up, The Big Bang Theory was down half a million viewers and three tenths in the demo for a fairly weak performance by its standards. It was followed by the sneak preview of Superior Donuts, which will move to Mondays at 9pm this week. Donuts premiered to more viewers and the same demo as The Great Indoors in October, but Indoors had a stronger Big Bang lead-in. This was a solid sampling that gives CBS something to work with but what matters is how it does in the Monday lineup. At 9pm, Mom was up a tenth in viewers and down a tenth in the demo while Life in Pieces was down four tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo. That led into the series premiere of Training Day, which was pretty much DOA with a 0.9 demo. These aren't the kind of numbers that will get it pulled but they are the kind of numbers that will just allow it to air out its season and nothing more barring some kind of miracle. It was on par with many Pure Genius episodes but skewed just a bit younger.

NBC had a premiere of its own but first, Superstore was down three tenths in viewers and even in the demo. It led into the premiere of Powerless which didn't get a big sampling but did seem like a good pair with Superstore. It could easily turn fractional next week though so we'll see. Right now, it looks a little bit weaker than the just renewed The Good Place. At 9pm, Chicago Med was down a tenth in viewers and even in the demo. At 10pm, The Blacklist became fractional for the first time ever as it was up a tenth in viewers but down a tenth in the demo for a 0.9. It has been quite a fall over time for this one time hit and that doesn't bode well for the upcoming spinoff that will temporarily take its timeslot. On FOX, the season finale of Hell's Kitchen was down three tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo. Despite Hell's ending, it will remain a cooking night on FOX as Masterchef Junior takes its place starting next week. At 9pm, My Kitchen Rules was even.

On ABC, the second week of the TGIT return saw each drama drop a couple tenths in the demo. Grey's Anatomy and Scandal were both down 1.1 million viewers and three tenths in the demo. At 10pm, How to Get Away with Murder was down seven tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo. This is still one of the healthier ABC lineups but Scandal continues to look like its ceiling is pretty low at this point. Finally on the CW, Supernatural was even while week two of Riverdale was down two tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo. Fall flops No Tomorrow and Frequency had a 0.3 and 0.2 demo respectively in their second weeks so I guess it has to be looked at as a small positive that Riverdale managed to still get a 0.4 demo in week two.

DECADE IN REVIEW: The Best Comedies of the 2010s

During the month of December, I will be looking back at the decade that was the 2010s on TV. I will be sharing my favorite sitcoms, dramas, the best episodes, the best performances and the worst shows of the decade. To be eligible for this list, a show had to air the majority of its episodes in the 2010s. However, for the rankings and determination, all episodes were taken into account, including ones that may have aired before 2010. I will also preface that there are comedies that have aired this decade that I haven't watched yet so this is the best of what I have watched. To be fair, that preface is more true for dramas.
