On Wednesday night, it was another drop for Empire but first on FOX, Shots Fired was down a tenth in viewers and even in the demo. This isn't doing great but it has been pretty steady. At 9pm, Empire was down half a million viewers and two tenths in the demo for another series low. Will it drop into the 1s before the end of the season? It seems likely at this point. On CBS, Survivor was up a tenth in viewers but down a tenth in the demo for its fourth 1.7 in five weeks. At 9pm, Criminal Minds was up a tenth in viewers and the demo while Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders was down four tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo for a new series low. There's no way this gets another reprieve, right?

On ABC, The Goldbergs was down half a million viewers and a tenth in the demo. Speechless was new for the first time in three weeks and was up two tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo. It was on par with last week's Imaginary Mary preview in the same slot. At 9pm, Modern Family was down half a million viewers and two tenths in the demo from last week's rebound into the 2s. At 9:30pm, Black-ish was down three tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo. Despite the comedies mostly being down, Designated Survivor was even with last week at 10pm. Finally on NBC, Blindspot was even for a third straight week as it seems to be making a late push for renewal with some steady ratings after time off and with Daylight Savings included. At 9pm, Law & Order: SVU was up a tenth in viewers and the demo while Chicago PD ended the night up four tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo.

WINNER OF THE NIGHT: Blindspot (NBC)
LOSER OF THE NIGHT: Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders (CBS)
