THE RUNDOWN: Monday, February 27

Monday night has the return of The Voice on NBC with Gwen Stefani re-joining the coaches panel. It should instantly boost the NBC lineup and the blind auditions always go well. It is followed by the series premiere of Taken. The prequel show to the popular movie franchise should get a sampling tonight. I would think it will at least equal the 1.8 demo that Timeless premiered to in the fall. Meanwhile, ABC has the first night of its heavily promoted four-part "When We Rise" mini-series chronicling the LGBTQ movement. It has gotten a ton of advertising but doesn't seem to be the prestigious event that ABC thought it might be. I think it'll have disappointing numbers tonight that will get worse as the week wears on. Elsewhere, CBS has its regular lineup except for Kevin Can Wait, CW has its regular lineup, and the FOX lineup will try to stabilize after a couple weeks of ugly drops.
