Monday night had the premiere of the new FOX lineup. Both dramas got the same results but the meaning of that was much different. For Super Bowl lead-out, 24: Legacy, a 1.5 demo was very disappointing. Despite getting a raw deal with a very late start on Sunday night, it still got a sampling but that didn't mean anything on Monday night as a show that has been promoted this heavily and has this much brand awareness should have had a better start. But it looks like there isn't much desire for another 24, especially one without Jack Bauer. Then at 9pm, APB premiered to just a tenth lower in viewers and the same demo as its lead-in. This felt significantly different. This felt like an overachieving performance. If you had told me that 24: Legacy would get a 1.5, I would have guessed that APB would have struggled to get a 1.0 demo. But it actually showed some promise and could be this year's version of Lucifer with a surprisingly sturdy performance. But it's still early so we'll see how things go next week. On ABC, The Bachelor was up three tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo while Quantico was down two tenths in viewers and even in the demo.

On CBS, Kevin Can Wait started things out down seven tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo. Man with a Plan followed and was down four tenths in viewers and two tenths in the demo. At 9pm was the time period premiere of Superior Donuts and it did alright, completely holding its Man with a Plan lead-in. I'd say this is a solid enough start on Mondays to give it a fighting chance for renewal. At its new 9:30pm time, 2 Broke Girls was down 1.1 million viewers and a rough four tenths in the demo. At 10pm, Scorpion was even in viewers and down a tenth in the demo. On NBC, The New Celebrity Apprentice was down two tenths in viewers and a tenth in the demo and then Timeless completely collapsed. It was down six tenths in viewers and three tenths in the demo to a horrible 0.6 demo. If this show still had a small chance for renewal, that chance is completely gone now. There's no way it's coming back. Finally on the CW, both Supergirl and Jane the Virgin were even with last week.

WINNER OF THE NIGHT: APB (FOX)
LOSER OF THE NIGHT: Timeless (NBC)
